WILL SCHWARZ- Director

Will Schwarz is a feature film writer/director working across the world. Will has a background in ceramics and graphite art, having studied under master potter of the Bauhaus lineage Dean Schwarz, his grandfather. He graduated from the University of Iowa with dual degrees and honors in Cinema and Screenwriting in 2024. Will has completed 2 feature films and dozens of shorts. Will takes great inspiration from Werner Herzog, David Lynch, and Mya Deren. He is now working with artists and scholars of the Bauhuas around the world on a feature documentary about legendary ceramics master Marguerite Wildenhain.

Kayla Laird- cinematographer

Kayla Laird is a filmmaker and photographer from the heart of the Midwest. She has a background in Cinematic Arts, obtaining a BA from the University of Iowa in 2023. After University, Kayla has been sharpening her technical skills working in the world of broadcast television as an engineer. Recently, she has been capturing the journey of former Bauhaus students as the Director of Photography and Producer on the upcoming international documentary Bauhaus Legacy.
